Burnham plans energy, bus, and student loan help within his first fortnight
Andy Burnham is devising a set of proposals to address the cost of living, encompassing ideas for energy bills and public transport, during his initial fortnight as prime minister. He has previously pledged to cut energy bills and lower transport costs with cheaper fares and more affordable public transport. His team is also looking into increasing the salary threshold for Plan 2 student loans to help graduates struggling with growing debt.
