Man Utd wants Hackney, but he prefers Everton
Despite Manchester United's reported interest in signing Middlesbrough's Hayden Hackney this summer, there are suggestions that the player would instead favor a transfer to Everton. United manager Michael Carrick is personally pushing for the midfielder, who he coached at Middlesbrough, to join his team. Hackney, valued around £25 million, has just one year left on his current contract, making him a prime transfer target.
