Melanoma diagnoses pass 20,000 for first time

British people face a growing risk from melanoma skin cancer, as the number of new cases has hit a record high. Cancer Research UK's analysis found 20,980 people were diagnosed with this serious disease in 2022, marking the first time diagnoses have exceeded 20,000. This charity also predicts annual cases could rise to 26,500 across the UK by 2040.
