80 Pablo Escobar Hippos Offered Home in India
Pablo Escobar’s feral hippos in Colombia face a cull by officials, but a new offer could now save some of these animals. Anant Ambani, an Indian billionaire’s son, revived a plan to transport 80 of the creatures to his Vantara centre in Gujarat. Transporting these beasts, each weighing roughly two tonnes, to India could cost over $4m.
