AI jobs now outnumber auditor roles at Big Four
Major accounting firms are changing their focus, now prioritising advanced technology skills in their hiring efforts. Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and PwC are actively seeking more AI specialists than traditional auditors. An FT analysis for 2025 showed almost 7 per cent of their job postings in English-speaking countries required AI expertise, a figure that has more than tripled since 2022.
