Nvidia trades chips for cut of cloud revenue
It means Nvidia gets paid twice on the same silicon, once for the hardware and again as a slice of what it earns. The chipmaker said on Wednesday that partner clouds will sell Nvidia-powered computing to AI startups, sharing revenue with Nvidia in exchange for credit support. First partners Sharon AI and Firmus plan up to 210,000 GPUs across Australia and Indonesia.
