Insurers are declining half of Chinese EV quotes
UK drivers buying Chinese cars face limited insurance choices and often pay almost twice as much for cover. Research suggests insurers are hesitant to cover some hybrid and electric vehicles from China, unlike those from other countries. A survey found half of all quote requests for models such as the Jaecoo 7, XPeng G6, and BYD Seal U were declined.
