Iran fires on Indian tanker in Hormuz standoff

Indian shipping and fuel costs could climb as the Gulf crisis hits one of Tehran's major trading partners. IRGC gunboats fired on an Indian-flagged supertanker in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, with India summoning Iran's ambassador. Iran reclosed the Strait hours after reopening it, citing the continued US blockade. Only eight ships crossed the waterway before it shut.
