Birmingham elections leave six parties vying for power
Birmingham residents face an extended period of uncertainty and potential paralysis after recent local elections. Labour's 14-year dominance of the council, which manages a £4.4bn budget, ended on Thursday as six parties now share the 101 available seats. Reform UK gained the most seats with 22, but no party has the 51 needed for a working majority.
