ICO reprimands Police Scotland for sharing 15 intimate images.
A victim suffered significant psychological distress after sensitive personal information from her phone was unlawfully disclosed. Police Scotland gave a detective constable’s entire mobile phone contents to her alleged attacker and his legal team on June 14, 2022. The Information Commissioner’s Office found 15 intimate images and medical records were incorrectly shared, issuing a reprimand for the serious failures.
