Starmer tells cabinet he will not step down
Keir Starmer told his cabinet on Tuesday morning that he would not step aside without a formal leadership challenge, Bloomberg reported. The prime minister called the efforts to remove him destabilising and warned that the uncertainty had an economic cost for the country. Starmer also noted that no potential rival had publicly announced a bid to challenge him for the Labour leadership.
