Vodafone's £4.3bn move for full control of UK's largest network

Mobile customers could see further industry consolidation as one firm takes full ownership of a major network. Vodafone agreed to purchase CK Hutchison’s 49% share in VodafoneThree for £4.3bn, paying cash and cancelling shares, the companies said on Tuesday. The network has more than 27 million subscribers and became the UK’s largest operator after its merger was completed in 2025.
