Iran's Ex-Leader Khamenei Burial Set for July 9
The country's former supreme leader Ali Khamenei, who ruled for nearly 37 years, will be laid to rest next month. He was killed on February 28 by Israeli and US airstrikes, and his burial in Mashhad on July 9 follows funerals in Tehran and Qom. His son, Mojtaba, became supreme leader in early March but hasn't appeared in public since his appointment.
