UAE firm took major stake in Trump crypto company
An investment firm linked to Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s national security adviser, acquired a 49 per cent stake in the Trump family’s cryptocurrency business, World Liberty Financial. Eric Trump reportedly signed the $500 million agreement days prior to his father's presidential inauguration in January 2025. The transaction prompted serious ethical questions regarding conflicts of interest, particularly as the UAE went on to secure advanced American technology export deals.
