Three Meningitis B Cases Confirmed in Weymouth Secondary Schools
The UK Health Security Agency has confirmed three meningitis B cases among young people in Weymouth, Dorset, between March 20 and April 15. Two pupils attend Budmouth Academy and one attends Wey Valley Academy. All three are recovering well. Antibiotics and MenB vaccines are being offered to school years 7 to 13 across Weymouth, Portland and Chickerell. The cases are unlinked to the Kent outbreak.
