US and Iran agree to 60-day ceasefire extension
Oil shipping and regional travel could face fewer risks if talks continue. American and Iranian negotiators agreed a draft plan on Thursday to keep their truce going for another 60 days and begin discussions over Tehran’s nuclear programme, according to US officials. Donald Trump hasn’t yet approved the proposal, while Iran also hasn’t publicly confirmed it after recent claims of ceasefire breaches from both sides.
