Heart conditions kill 12 young people each week
Undiagnosed heart conditions are causing the deaths of many young people across the UK. Bereaved families are supporting the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young, which campaigns for national cardiac screening for all over-14s and increased research funding. Around 600 individuals under 35 die annually from sudden cardiac arrest due to these conditions.
