Britain starts using SpaceX Starshield for missions
Military communications are being shifted to a network built for defence and intelligence work. Britain began moving operational armed forces data to SpaceX's Starshield service around the start of 2026, according to two people familiar with the matter, while the defence ministry declined to comment on its use. Around 1,000 Starlink terminals were in British military use by spring 2025.
