UK Approves 4.1% Minimum Wage Increase to £12.71 From 2026
The UK government has approved a 4.1% rise in the National Living Wage to £12.71 an hour from April 2026. Ministers accepted recommendations from the Low Pay Commission, which said the increase meets its target for keeping the wage at two-thirds of median earnings. Rates for younger workers and apprentices will also rise. The commission said strong employment supported the uplift, adding it would track business impacts as economic conditions evolve.
