UK Won't Restrict Fast-Growing Chinese Car Sales
UK consumers now have access to more car choices as Chinese vehicle imports face no government restrictions. Business Secretary Peter Kyle welcomed the trend, highlighting opportunities for jobs and investment. Chinese-owned brands have rapidly grown their UK presence, accounting for over 10% of new car registrations in early 2026, up sharply from under 2% five years ago.
