Welsh First Minister Loses Seat in Historic Labour Collapse

Welsh First Minister Eluned Morgan lost her Senedd seat and resigned as Welsh Labour leader on Friday, as Labour suffered its first national election defeat in Wales in over a century. Plaid Cymru leads with 39 seats, Reform UK has 32, and Labour is reduced to just 9 in the 96-seat Senedd. Morgan is the first UK head of government to lose their seat while in office.
