Venezuela earthquakes kill at least 920 people
At least 920 people have died and more than 3,300 have been injured after two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela on Wednesday evening, the National Assembly president said on Friday. A magnitude 7.2 quake was followed seconds later by a 7.5,. The second quake was Venezuela’s most powerful in more than a century, with over 40,000 people listed as missing.
