Massive Bermondsey fire stops trains, 100 firefighters respond
A large blaze at a waste management facility in Bermondsey resulted in considerable railway service interruptions and discharged vast quantities of smoke over south London. On Monday, shortly after 5:30 PM, around 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines converged on Landmann Way to extinguish the fire. Local inhabitants received instructions to shut their windows and doors due to the prevailing smoke conditions.
