William gets first robotic cancer surgery in Northern Ireland

Patients can benefit from less pain, reduced blood loss, shorter hospital stays, and quicker recovery. William Duncan, 59, became the first person in Northern Ireland to have his oesophageal cancer removed using this robotic technique. He was discharged from hospital after nine days following his successful procedure, spending only one night in ICU.
