LinkedIn to Use Member Data for AI Training Unless Users Opt Out

Commencing on November 3, LinkedIn is set to utilize data from member profiles, including posts, resumes, and public interactions, for the purpose of training its AI models. The change affects users in the UK, EU, EEA, Switzerland, Canada, and Hong Kong, with the feature enabled by default. Members must manually opt out through Settings under Data Privacy to prevent their information being used. The Microsoft-owned platform cites legitimate interest as its legal basis.
