Powerful earthquake kills 19 in southern Philippines
A powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake has killed at least 19 people in the southern Philippines, causing widespread building damage. The quake struck off Mindanao island on Monday morning at 07:37 local time, triggering tsunami alerts. These alerts were later cancelled, but over 130 aftershocks followed, and at least 134 people were injured.
