Wellington declares emergency, 77mm rain falls
Residents have been advised to delay non-essential travel and over a dozen people evacuated their homes. New Zealand's capital, Wellington, declared a state of emergency on Monday after torrential rain and flash floods hit the North Island. The city saw a record 77mm of rain in under an hour, and a 60-year-old man is reported missing.
