London's FTSE 100 index drops slightly after six consecutive days of growth

The slight dip on Wednesday was mainly driven by falling share prices in the healthcare and energy sectors. Investors are also waiting for quarterly financial results from Nvidia, the technology firm at the centre of an artificial intelligence boom. Meanwhile, the mid-sized FTSE 250 index actually went up, helped by a 5.4% jump in shares for Hochschild Mining.
