MPs again reject social media ban for under-16s
Children under 16 won't be subject to an immediate ban from social media platforms after MPs rejected the proposal for a second time. The House of Commons voted 256 to 150 on Wednesday, siding with the government against a Lords amendment. The government is instead pushing ahead with its own consultation on an under-16s ban, which closes next month.
