Entire school learns sign language for deaf seven-year-old

Seven-year-old Ben O'Reilly is the only deaf student in his entire school district in New Hampshire, a state with no dedicated school for the deaf. His aide said he had no relationships with peers or teachers and 'was very alone' until classmates began picking up sign language to talk to him. Classmate Reid Spring put it simply: 'If he's your friend, you can play with him, and he's my friend.'
