Iran claims US drone downed; US cites self-defense strikes

Iran's military claims a definite right to hit back for any US ceasefire violations. On Tuesday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it had shot down an American drone and engaged a fighter jet and a second drone, all of which had trespassed into Iran's airspace. US Central Command confirmed that its Monday military actions were aimed at Iranian missile installations and maritime craft, undertaken in self-protection.
