8,000 Pakistan troops, jets funded by Saudi Arabia: Regional tensions deepen

Regional tensions could deepen after Pakistan expanded military support for Saudi Arabia during the Iran conflict. Reuters reported that Islamabad deployed 8,000 troops, JF-17 fighter jets, drones and a Chinese HQ-9 defence system under a confidential security agreement signed last year. Officials said the force was funded by Saudi Arabia and could grow further if Riyadh faces more attacks.
