Nissan's Sunderland plant may build Chinese cars

The Sunderland plant, which employs 6,000 workers, faces significant volume problems after Nissan reported steep losses for the year to March. Its chief executive confirmed Nissan is considering building vehicles for other manufacturers, including China’s Chery, to bring more volume into the UK’s largest car factory. Nissan closed a production line last week.
