Australia and EU Conclude Long-Negotiated Free Trade Agreement
Australia and the European Union have agreed on a comprehensive free trade deal following nearly a decade of negotiations. The agreement, estimated at about A$10bn, will scrap most tariffs and expand cooperation in sectors such as defence and critical minerals. Anthony Albanese and Ursula von der Leyen said it strengthens economic ties amid global uncertainty.
