Hilary Knight Won Olympic Gold With Torn MCL
US ice hockey captain Hilary Knight revealed Monday she competed at the Olympics with a torn medial collateral ligament. She described playing injured as a major mental and physical challenge, scoring a key tying goal against Canada in the final. Knight, 36, stated she is "not walking around the best" and will miss games for her PWHL team, Seattle Torrent, after being placed on long-term injured reserve.
