Scottish leaders attend Jeane Freeman's memorial service.

A thanksgiving service for former Scottish health secretary Jeane Freeman took place at the University of Glasgow's Bute Hall on Saturday 28 February, following a private cremation. More than 400 people attended, including First Minister John Swinney, former first minister Nicola Sturgeon and Labour leader Anas Sarwar. Freeman died on 7 February aged 72, just 25 days after her cancer diagnosis. Her partner Susan Stewart said she was fortunate to have had her love for 25 years.
