Major incident declared as 30000 homes without water

Across Kent and Sussex, around 30,000 homes are experiencing water supply problems. Kent County Council has announced a major incident. South East Water stated that Storm Goretti caused power failures, pipe bursts, and treatment issues. Tunbridge Wells, Canterbury, and Maidstone are among the affected areas. Schools have shut, and hospitals are offering virtual appointments. Bottled water distribution points are now open. This disruption follows December outages that impacted 24,000 homes for a fortnight.
