Weight-loss jab Wegovy now free on NHS Scotland

People in Scotland at risk of heart attacks or strokes can now get the Wegovy weight-loss jab for free. Scotland's medicines group, the SMC, approved the drug, also known as semaglutide, as a treatment to use with diet and exercise on Tuesday. Nearly 145,000 patients in Scotland could be eligible, needing a BMI of 27 or more and existing health issues.
