Anthropic and OpenAI launch AI services firms targeting Indian IT

Anthropic announced a $1.5bn joint venture with Blackstone, Goldman Sachs and Hellman and Friedman on Monday to embed its Claude AI inside mid-sized companies. Hours earlier OpenAI was reported to be raising $4bn for a separate venture called The Development Company at a $10bn valuation. Both deals could squeeze Indian IT giants like TCS and Infosys, whose consulting model the new firms aim to disrupt.
