Haiti drops 'political' kit for World Cup

The team had to alter their strip just four days before their first World Cup match in over 50 years. Fifa, football's world governing body, made them remove a design showing the 1803 Battle of Vertieres from their shirts. The manufacturer, Saeta, said the image was a tribute, but Fifa saw it as a political message.
