New-build homes hit near decade low, hitting first-time buyers
New analysis indicates that the quantity of new housing developments being introduced to the market has reached its lowest point since January 2017. Rightmove, the property platform, found fewer developments were listed in May than at any time in almost a decade. The shortage means fewer opportunities for first-time buyers and could lead to price increases for these homes.
