UK policy separates up to 1,360 children monthly
Hundreds of refugee children may continue to be separated from their families after the UK paused decisions on some family reunion applications in September. The British Red Cross's analysis of Home Office figures indicates that the monthly total of children potentially affected might be between 550 and 1,360, with unaccompanied minors accounting for up to 430 of that group. A High Court hearing on the legality of the suspension took place last week.
