British planes went up for Russian bomber

British airspace was not breached, though military planes were deployed in response to a suspected Russian bomber. RAF fighter jets from Scotland were scrambled on Tuesday after an unidentified long-range aircraft was tracked nearing the UK. Two Typhoons from RAF Lossiemouth and a Voyager refuelling plane from RAF Brize Norton were involved, but no interception took place.
