EU adds €3 fee for small parcels
Online shopping from outside the EU will cost more from 1 July 2026 under a new customs payment. European Union officials introduced a temporary €3 charge for imported goods worth up to €150, saying it will support fair competition, improve consumer protection, reduce customs fraud and address environmental concerns from mass shipping. Sellers or importers must pay it during customs processing.
