Man charged with defacing Winston Churchill statue in Westminster
Police have charged a thirty-eight-year-old man following an incident where the statue of Sir Winston Churchill in Parliament Square was vandalised. Officers arrested Caspar San Giorgio in the early hours of Friday morning after graffiti was sprayed on the monument. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Saturday to face charges related to the damage caused to the historic landmark.
