London air pollution deaths down 40% since 2019
Deaths linked to air pollution in London have dropped by about 40% over five years, a new study estimates. Imperial College London research found that toxic air, including nitrogen dioxide, has sharply reduced across the capital since 2019. Despite this progress, scientists warn air pollution remains a serious health risk, particularly in outer London boroughs.
