New AI models aim for real-world understanding

A leading AI figure, Yann LeCun, is developing new artificial intelligence that moves beyond current systems like ChatGPT. His company, AMI Labs, raised over $1 billion to create AI that can understand the physical world, unlike existing models. This new system, called JEPA, aims to help robots with complex tasks like household chores.
