New tools detect mental distress in cancer patients
Rapid psychosocial screening tools could help doctors spot mental health issues like anxiety and depression in cancer patients earlier. A review of existing tools found 14 useful instruments that can quickly identify these concerns, which might otherwise be missed. Integrating these into daily care could improve how cancer patients receive overall support.
