UK refuses to join Trump's naval blockade of Strait of Hormuz
Britain will not take part in Trump's order to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, the Press Association understands. A government spokesperson said the UK is 'urgently working with France and other partners' to build a coalition protecting freedom of navigation, and that the strait 'must not be subject to tolling.' Trump hit back by comparing Starmer to Neville Chamberlain and called NATO 'shameful' for refusing to support offensive operations against Iran.
