Iran demands World Cup guarantees after chief denied Canada entry.

Concerns over visas and security could affect Iran’s plans for the 2026 tournament in North America. Iran’s football federation said it wants assurances from FIFA and host nations that players, staff and officials will be allowed entry and treated respectfully during the competition. Federation chief Mehdi Taj said 10 conditions had been submitted after he was refused entry into Canada before last month’s FIFA Congress.
